Facility :

It is an effort to promote the well being of the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of this college. The cell shall be accountable for its work directly to the Principal.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CELL

a) Provision of guidelines for the redressal of grievances of students, : teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.

b) Creation of social awareness about the problems of students.

c) Establishment of committees and seeking the participation of both male and female students from N.S.S. and other activities for the finalisation of complaints.

d) Origanisation of seminar and workshop for creation of general awareness and for the orientation of both male and female teachers for the participation in the activities of the cell.

8. The Principal has the right to stop the issue of certain books to

borrowers. 9. A borrower will not be allowed to get the refund of his library deposit. 10. Strict silence should be observed in the library room. The librarian has been ordered to report a willful breach of this rule.

11. Cases of incivility on the part of borrowers or the library staff or any unauthorized person who may be inside the library should be

at once reported to the Principal.

12. The following is the list showing maximum number of books that may be issued to various categories of borrowers.

a) Members of teaching staff 7

b) Members of the office staff 3

c) Librarian 3

d) Student of +3 Honours classes 2

e) Student of Degree classes/+2 classes 1

13. The time allowed to borrowers for returning the library books.

a) Members of the teaching and non teaching staff 1 month

b) Students 7 days

14. Any book lost, damaged or defaced by a borrower must be replaced by him. If the book is one of a set or series and it cannot be obtained singly, the whole set or series must be replaced at the borrower's cost. If the book is rare or irreplaceable the borrower would be required to pay an amount up to maximum of double the catalogue price of the book.

15. In case where the price of the lost book cannot be ascertained the borrower should pay as compensation an amount fixed by the Principal.

16. Ignorance of library rules will not be an excuse for the breach of any rule.

BOOK BANK

Rules of the Book Bank

1. At the beginning of the academic session a notice will be given

inviting applications from the intending borrowers for books.

2. The borrowers can take the book paying one tenth of the price

of the book.

3. Deserving candidates on the basis of merit and financial

difficulties shall receive books from the book bank.

4. The borrower will remain responsible for loss or damage of books

in which case library rules will be applicable.

5. The borrowers shall have to return the books before filling up forms for the CHSE/ University examinations. Other students shall have to return the books soon after annual examination of the College is over. If a student wants to keep the book for another session, he/she has to reborrow the book after paying one tenth of the price of the book.



College Laboratory :
Janata College has fully equipped ultra modern Science laboratories. Qualified faculty members and trained laboratory technicians will help the students and guide them throughout the course. The college has made it mandatory for the students to spend as much time and satisfy their scientific curiosities as is rightly said "curiosity is the mother of invention".

Education / IT Laboratory – The Education / IT Laboratory is another such feature of the Institute. Students are put to test on their behavioural pattern, mind set, flexibility of mind and action. Along with audiovisual aids and spotlights several self evaluation exercises are given to the students, the reflexibility, alacrity, adaptability is marked. Many facts and figures that a person may have not known about his or her own self comes to the fore. The scientific habit of thought process, reasoning and logic is enhanced and this heightens the intelligence of the student.
